Getting ready for Christmas

It seems Christmas has just crept up on me this year. We've got three kids and each has a birthday in October, November and December. So by the time you buy gifts for all of them, have parties, you're already at Thanksgiving. Then Christmas is only a few weeks away, and then, on top of that, it's my anniversary on Dec. 21st. It's been five years. Wow, how time flies. This weekend I'm going to see the in-laws in Katy. The just moved there a few months from Mandeville, which is on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. They've been gone since Tuesday. I had to work and finish up some shopping before I could go. I think I have all of the kids presents but I may do some last minute shopping in Houston for Kara and her parents. We'll come back on Sunday evening and then Monday night, my family will be here. My brother is stationed in Iraq so it will suck not having him here. And my sister's new husband John has to go back to work so that's kind of bad, but it'll be alright. I guess I'm the man this year!
